Napa County Real Estate
Napa County real estate favors those looking to purchase a home in this famous area of Northern California. With a population of 110,000, Napa County offers residents an opportunity to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle in one of its five incorporated towns. Whether you choose to reside in Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville, Napa, or American Canyon, you will be surrounded by 45,000 acres of wine country. American Canyon severs as the ‘Gateway to the Napa Valley,’ and is the second largest city in the valley.
Napa is the valley’s largest city with just over 75,000 residents. Yountville is a small town of just over 3,000, noted for being a walking town with a line of shops and restaurants only a mile long. St. Helena is a town of just over 6,000 with the same name as the mountain it’s located next to. Famous for its many upscale boutiques, St. Helena is noted as being “small town America with a designer’s touch.” Calistoga is the center of the spas and nightlife in the Napa Valley, yet maintains a small-town feel.
Napa County real estate is not just limited to these five cities. There are also a few small unincorporated towns scattered throughout the valley that are noted for the wineries located nearby.
Located only an hour from San Francisco, Napa county residents have the peacefulness of an agricultural region with the convenience of a big city close by. However, you don’t have to leave Napa County to have a good time. Napa Valley offers two golf courses, totaling 54 holes of challenging golf. Hot air balloons can be seen in the sky almost every day, displaying the beautiful scenery from a unique view. At night, residents can be found at COPIA, the American Center for Wine, Food, and the Arts, or at the Napa Valley Opera House watching the latest production. COPIA offers all sorts of events, including classes for wine tasting and cooking as well as art exhibitions. Take in the surrounding environment and wildlife at the Safari West Wildlife Preserve and Resort. This 400-acre preserve offers open-air jeep tours for the chance to see some of the over 400 mammals and birds that live on the preserve. After a long day shopping or golfing, take a relaxing ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train.
